About the Skate Sharpener

He has been a figure skater and instructor since 1970. He is experienced in both freestyle and dance. Over the years he has had his skates sharpened many times, sometimes good, too times bad.

In 2003, after years of mediocre and sometimes destructive sharpening by others, he purchased a small table top sharpening machine and learned to sharpen his own skates. Soon, he was sharpening for other skaters.

Today, he is one of the very few sharpeners in the area specializing in the custom sharpening of figure skates. His clients  include competitive and testing skaters of all levels as well as recreational skaters and a past Olympic competitor and World Professional Champion.
